Nike prescription sunglasses have been engineered to give athletes multiple ways to manage the perfect light conditions for sport. Nike Max Optics deliver optical clarity and all sunglasses offer 100% UV protection. At Nike Vision, lens technologies are designed from the athlete's point of view to give them clear and precise vision under all conditions.

Nike are working in conjunction with Shamir, so that Nike prescription glasses combine cutting edge optics with Nike's sporting expertise.  Shamir are world-renowned for leading the way in wraparound sports eyewear. They use Freeform technology to ensure distortion-free vision through every point of the lens. Nike prescription sunglasses are now ahead of the game - arguably the highest quality prescription sports sunglasses on the market.

Nike Vision: Vision Science & Sport Performance
Nike have combined the science of vision with an expertise in sport to make superior optics and eyewear for athletes. Lightweight and durable sunglasses offer superior fit and optical clarity. Select models are equipped with sport-specific features that make athletes more comfortable. And, Nike's patented Nike Max tints enhance critical visual details in a range of sport environments.

    Nike Vision: Accuracy & Environment
Nike have focused on accuracy and the environment to inspire their range of sunglasses. The science behind Nike sunglasses, and the optics and technologies they utilise, was the result of extensive research into optical precision, performance functionality and ways to manage environmental conditions.

    Nike Vision: Functional Design
Each feature of Nike eyewear is designed with the athlete in mind. Nike's specially designed features enhance comfort, give you more comfort and offer all-around versatility.

    • All-around versatility - Nike Interchange gives you lens options for all light conditions. Customise your Nike sunglasses with replacement/accessory lenses.
    • Maximum ventilation - Nike's ventilated rubber nose bridge has cut-outs that promote airflow from underneath. Nike Flying Lenses keep optics securely in place and reduce fogging.
    • Custom adjustability - alter the adjustable temple arms and the adjustable nose bridge for a more accurate fit for your Nike sunglasses.
    • Enhanced stability and ventilation - Nike Flying Lenses stay in place even when the frame flexes, for consistently stable optics. Air flows freely, increasing ventilation and reducing fogging.
    • Lightweight materials - Nike use materials like magnesium in their sunglasses, which has a high strength to weight ratio, and performance nylon, for flexibility.
    • Global fit - designed using universal fit standards to complement a variety of face shapes around the world.

    Shamir
Nike prescription sunglasses now incorporate Shamir technology, ensuring Nike are now leading the way in prescription sports eyewear. This collaboration offers you the following technical benefits:

    • Shamir Attitude® lenses are exclusively designed to provide uncompromised visual acuity in fashion-forward wrap around frames.
    • Using proprietary EyePoint Technology®, Shamir lens engineers employ surface asphericity to compensate for off-center unwanted astigmatism characteristic of grinding an Rx in a Base 8 lens.
    • Shamir Attitude® lenses provide the cosmetic benefits of a Base 8 with optical performance of Base 3 and 5.

Shamir Attitude® lenses include EyePoint Technology™, which is a radical departure from conventional eyeglass lens analysis tools. Ensuring an accurate design and analysis, it enables the development and manufacturing of sophisticated, tailor-made lenses.

The key element behind Shamir's EyePoint Technology is a dedicated ray-tracing program written by Shamir scientists. Combining lens surface topography data with a highly advanced mathematical algorithm. This sophisticated technology calculates the optical performance of thousands of locations covering the progressive lens surface, taking into account the following parameters:

    • lens index refraction
    • lens prescription
    • lens center thickness
    • distance from the eye to the back vertex of the lens
    • distance from the lens to the object
    • object's angular position in the eye's field of vision
    • pantoscopic tilt of the frame
    • pupil distance
    • thickness reduction prism and more
