Rudy Project prescription sunglasses mainly feature prescription inserts (optical adaptors), which clip into most Rudy Project sunglasses. However, the Ekynox SX, Horus, Rydon and Apache glasses are now available as directly glazed prescription sunglasses. All Rudy Project sunglasses come with a Rudy hard-case and soft bag, and the vast majority feature the Rudy Project Quick-Change lens system so every condition can be matched by one pair of sunglasses.

Rx Project
For their more technical sunglasses, Rudy Project have created 'clip-on' prescription optical inserts that can be snapped in behind the polycarbonate Rudy Project lenses. Thanks to Rudy's patented 'easy-in easy-out' system, the Rudy Project prescription inserts can be inserted or removed with ease. Prescription inserts are particularly useful for occassional contact lens wearers and for those who want to match their lenses to the weather conditions through the use of interchangeable outer lenses (see 'Quick Change' below).

Quick Change
The system of interchangeable lenses called Quick Change is one of the basic technologies of Rudy’s technical and sport glasses. Every eyewear model has different ways of fitting and removing the lenses. The shape of the lenses and the frame interact differently. Quick Change technology allows you to easily and swiftly change out lenses to manage any light conditions.

Ultimate Sunglass Protection

LASER Engineered for sunny days and bright light conditions, Laser™ lenses provide 400uv protection and come in a wide variety of colors and shades. A chrome mirror finish is applied to the entire outer surface of the lens. RACING RED High Optical quality lenses in high definition Polycarbonate treated with multi layered coating to enhance visual depth and eliminate eye fatigue. The Racing Red lens was engineered for serious athletes and "techno files".
ACTION BROWN High contrast lenses built around chromatic partitioning, they enhance color contrast and, cut glare from all angles maximizing visual clarity.
GOLF 100 Golf 100™ lenses provide a unique balance of target and background brightness. The transmission of 25% was tailored to accomodate for grass reflecting only a low amount on incident light. While controlling low level blue light, the middle range is selectively manipulated to provide optimum visual stimulation and distinctive "object illumination".
SMOKE This type of lens, offered in a variety of shades, transmits only 22% of the light and is ideal for moderately sunny days or winter days.

HI-ALTITUDE The HI-Altitude™is engineered to protect from high illumination and transmits only 5,5% of light. Perfect for mountain activities, glacier and high altitude conditions, this special lens is tailored with triple layers anti-reflective back coating and proprietary front mirror coating.
