MIPS™ Technology

The secret behind the MIPS™ technology patent comes from the human brain, which is surrounded by a low-friction cushion of cerebrospinal fluid. MIPS™ imitates the brain’s low-friction layer between the shell and the liner, to absorb energy created by an angled blow to the head. The combination of the brain’s own protection and MIPS™ provides improved protection.

Airvanced Ventilation™

Rider-controlled venting that allows variable airflow to the inner helmet microclimate and limits the invasion of outside elements.

GlovesOn™ Buckle

Undercovered™

This design feature allows you to wear your beanie and/or ski goggles under your RED helmet, while maintaining the benefits of air flow. The Velcro-free helmet interior keeps your beanie from sticking to the innards of the shell. Featured available on RED Mutiny and Hi-Fi ski helmets.

NoAir™ Vent Plugs

Windproof and snowproof plugs seal out the elements. The soft fleece backing adds warmth and comfort and is removable for adjusting interior microclimate.

Goggle Gasket

Fully removable shield that eliminates the gap between ski goggles and snow helmet while remaining windproof and breathable

Unison Technology™

Where form, fit, and function become one. This ultra smart technology engineers the entire fit system, ski helmet shape and mechanics in unison, leading to reduced bulk and weight, a superior fit, and ultimately a better riding experience.

Air Band Fit System

Air-fueled comfort in a low-profile headband. Adjust the soft, fleece wrapped Air Band™ with the pump-button on the right webbing strap to fine-tune your fit. Choose between the Air Band™ 360 on the RED Prime, Air Band™ 270 available on the R.E.D Theory helmet and Aletta ski helmet or the 180 fit system, available on the RED Hi-Fi snowboard helmets and Women’s Hi-Fi helmets, each offering a different level of customized comfort.

Spin Fit System

Easily dial in the fit and customize the liner’s circumference with this new super low-profile system. Available on the RED Tantrum helmets, Skycap and Reya ski helmets.
