Thermal Lens

Two single lenses bonded together with a sealed “dead air” space between them create a thermal barrier that keeps the inner lens warm and dry. Like storm windows—but much more comfortable—this process helps prevent fogging by keeping the inner lens above the dew point.

Fog X Lens Treatment

A hydrophilic chemical treatment creates a micro-etched surface on the inner lens to absorb moisture before fog can form. Because Fog-X is a treatment that is actually burned into the lens, it can’t be wiped away like other anti-fog coatings.

Flexible Urethane Frame

Smith uses a unique urethane compound, which allows the goggles to conform to individual facial features while maintaining its flexibility in extreme cold temperatures.

Airflow

Airflow ventilation utilises waterproof vent plugs for easy climate control in all conditions. Removal of vent plugs allows maxium airflow and heat exhaustion in warm temperatures. When installed, the ven plugs create a warm, dry seal from all mother nature can through at you - rain, sleet or snow.

Airevac 2

The ultimate in goggle-helmet integration, AirEvac 2 connects shell vents and internal EPS channels to increas airflow and evacuate warm, moist air to prevent goggle fogging. Cool, dry air is consistently pulled into the goggles as the warm, moist air is exhausted over the wearer's head and out the rear of the helmet. The soft, flexible plate and liner system contact the back of the head when the HFS is tightened for a proper fit.
