Regulator

Adjustable, easy to use and extremely effective climate control, Smith's low profile Regulator ventilation system allows you to modify the amount of airflow and heat exhaust even with a gloved hand.

Airevac 2

The ultimate in goggle-helmet integration, AirEvac 2 connects shell vents and internal EPS channels to increas airflow and evacuate warm, moist air to prevent goggle fogging. Cool, dry air is consistently pulled into the goggles as the warm, moist air is exhausted over the wearer's head and out the rear of the helmet.

Hybrid Shell Construction

Smith’s Hybrid Shell construction combines separate lightweight and durable shells to create an entirely new helmet category. By fusing our tough Bombshell ABS construction with flyweight In-Mold™ technology, their Hybrid Shell construction optimises the favorable traits of each material in the revolutionary process. The result is a modern design that provides a lightweight, low-profile, perfect fitting helmet. Hybrid Shell construction also creates a clean, smooth top surface by enabling the low profile Regulator to function with reduced mass and volume. Advancing their construction process for 2011, Smith have created new Super Light or “SL” engineered parts. Each SL item has been minimised to the extreme while maintaining durability and part integrity in order to reduce weight and increase comfort.

X-Static Lining® – The Silver Fibre

X-Static is a silver coated textile fibre that enhances select Smith helmets with permanent and natural anti-odor, anti-static and thermo-dynamic properties.

• Anti-Odour: X-Static provides the most powerful antimicrobial and odor elimination system available by using pure silver to inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria and fungi. X-Static is also the only product that binds with and neutralizes odor-causing ammonia and denatured proteins. Clinically proven to eliminate 99.9% of harmful micro-organisms within hours of exposure.
• Regulates Temperature: X-Static has the best possible thermodynamic properties that are capable of heat transfers, so you will stay warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.
• Natural: X-Static is made with pure silver and contains no chemicals. It is perfectly safe for people and the environment.
• Permanent: Silver is permanently and irreversibly bonded to a fiber to create X-Static. It will not wash off or wear off and lasts for the life of the product.

Smith partnered with Boa® Technology, the world's leader in closure systems, to create the new Boa® Fit System. This proprietary fit system takes the proven fit of Smith's ergonomic head form to the next level, offering an intuitive, dial system for on-the-fly, single handed micro-adjustment. Building on the self-centering feature of the Smith HFS, the Boa® Fit System offers an additional feature of vertical adjustment. Together Smith and Boa® offer this truly premier system for dialed-in helmet fit and adjustability.

Snapfit/Bombshell Fit Ear Pads

Ear pads are ergonomically designed to be form fitting and comfortable. Easily removed for washing and effortlessly reinstalled. New SL ear pads are found in the Smith Vantage helmet to reduce weight while maintaining comfort and warmth.

Goggle Lock

Securely retains the goggle strap on the helmet to ensure stability, comfort and performance.
