Oakley Prizm Snow Bright Light Goggles

Oakley Prizm Snow Bright Light Goggles

Prizm changed the way we see on the snow. Often imitated but never truly duplicated, Oakley's proprietary contrast-enhancing lens technology was the result of painstaking field research and the application of decades of knowledge gained from working in the optical industry.

Prizm Snow Lens Technology

In bright weather the snow presents a particular challenge. Snow can reflect a very large amount of light, making seeing clearly difficult, especially for prolonged periods of time. The intensity of light can make spotting detail in terrain problematic.

Snow environments are dominated by white and lack any particular colour. Prizm accentuates cyan and reds - colours we can best detect snow contrast with. The Prizm Snow Black Iridium tint features a silver mirror to dampen intense light to enhance eye comfort on bluebird days.

PRIZM SNOW LENSES FOR BRIGHT LIGHT

Oakley Ski Goggles - Prizm Snow Lens Technology

With a visible light transmission (VLT) of approximately 5%, Prizm Black Iridium is your go-to for glorious bluebird days. This tint will reveal details in relief on the snow while also cutting the majority of intense light, making vision comfortable for prolonged use.

The rose base tint used on the Prizm Black Iridium lens handles shorter periods of diminished light well, making it a good choice for partly cloudy weather. In prolonged poorer weather, we would recommend using one of Oakley's medium light or low light Prizm lenses.
