MIPS® - Multi-Directional Impact Protection System

Almost every time you fall, you fall at an angle. This generates rotational violence to the brain causing concussions and more severe injuries.

Extensive research has shown a helmet with MIPS absorbs much of the damaging rotational energy generated when the brain hits the ground at an angle.

In Scott helmets the MIPS low-friction layer has been carefully integrated to optimise fitting and ventilation, meaning added safety doesn't mean any compromise on comfort.

In-Mold Shell Construction

The outer shell of polycarbonate material is fused with the helmet's impact absorbent foam liner, creating a lightweight outer shell. With reduced weight and bulk surrounding the head, in-mold helmets are more comfortable than traditional helmets.

M-RAS Fit System

An automatic locking system ensures the desired helmet fit is held securely. M-RAS offers uniform comfort throughout the helmet (270° head wrap). An oversized moulded wheel at the rear of the construction makes adjusting with one hand easy and height adjustment personalises individual fit.

Two easy-to-use sliders enable fine tuning in terms of ventilation. The user can precisely regulate the airflow that travels through the helmet for optimal venitaltion in any weather condition.

Passive Goggle Venting System

The Goggle Venting system is designed to prevent your goggles from fogging up. Intake vents placed on the front of the helmet, just above the goggle, pull air through the goggle frame removing any stagnant air that causes fogging.
