The Cutline’s from Rudy Project are the definition of quality and versatility! Especially when it comes to a pair of large lens sunglasses.

The Cutline’s are equipped with detachable bumpers which I find a smart feature we don’t see enough of.

It essentially enables you to set the glasses up into 4 different styles. A change to suit the environment or simply if you get bored of how they look after a while! I currently like the full-bumper set up. The additional weight is unnoticeable and I prefer the extra protection if they ever happen to hit the ground.

The nose piece and arms allow straight forward adjustment. I was able to get the Cutline’s to fit perfectly after a few minutes of fiddling around. Amazingly after 7 weeks of heavy use, I have not once had to readjust them!

Cutline bumpers
Removable bumpers are very unique and a cool function

Out in the world, the Cutline’s make humble work of eliminating sun glare and blocking out harmful UV rays. On overcast days, the lens still enables clear vision with sufficient light, thus making these a good all-rounder and my sunnies of choice for the many days of bad weather commuting.

The Lenses

One of the best features is the large profile of the wrap around lens! This resulted in there being essentially zero obstruction in my peripheral vision, regardless of the viewing angle. I found these a pleasure to wear when cycling on a fast and technical descent or in a pack of fellow riders.

The lenses, which I chose to have the Multilaser Gold, also have smartly situated cut-out vents. So far these seem to work well and this is something I won’t take for granted due to living in the notoriously wet United Kingdom.

Darren Roberts' Cutline
A seamless fit with helmets and high quality Rudy Project optics

In summary, I absolutely love the look of the Cutline’s by Rudy Project especially with the bling but elegant Multilaser Gold lenses.

Cutline case and parts
Customise the Cutline thanks to quick release lenses and removable bumpers

As I seem to spend most of my time cycling, driving and driving a speed boat for wake boarding, these sunnies have already proven to be both reliable and versatile – performing exceptionally well on the road and on the water! The soft and hard case which come supplied with the Cutline’s are also a sweet addition to an already great product, giving me assurance they are safe from harm when I cram everything in my bag.

Thanks to Darren for his review!
