Cycling Sunglasses - Lens Tints

The perfect tint will depend on the conditions you cycle in, and your personal preference. As a guide:

	Grey A neutral lens for bright sunny days. Grey lenses offer true colour perception. Often used as a base tint on those jazzy mirrored lenses too!
	Brown Similar to grey lenses, as they are designed for bright conditions. Brown offers slightly more contrast enhancement than grey, so it is more versatile for partial cloud.
	Vermillion/Rose Considered to be the universal lens tint for cycling. Ideal in moderate and poor light as it increases contrast, whilst offering more assistance in brighter light than orange or yellow lenses
	Yellow Perfect for really low ligh/overcastt conditions, as it enhances contrast by eliminating blue light.
	Orange Perfect for overcast/low light conditions, as it enhances contrast and depth perception. A hybrid between yellow and vermilion lenses.
	Polarised Usually grey or brown - eradicates glare caused by light-rays reflecting off flat surfaces. Therefore, they are particularly useful forroad riding in intense sun.
	Photochromic Also known as Transitions or Reactolite - light-adjusting lenses that darken when exposed to UV. Therefore they are very flexible for changeable light-conditions. Traditionally, the choice is grey or brwon, but brand like Rudy Project are now offering contrast enhancing red tints. NB. photochromic red tints will not go completely clear!
