-
Can I buy sunglasses fitted with clear prescription lenses?
Definitely, this is an option on all of our directly glazed prescription sunglasses. For most of the sunglasses we offer with prescription inserts, clear lenses can be purchased as an additional lens.
-
What is an “anti-reflection coating”?
AR coatings reduce unwanted reflections and improve clarity, whilst also improving the cosmetic appearance of lenses. With fewer reflections, more light passes through the lens to the eye for improved vision and the lenses look more transparent and attractive. Particularly useful for clear lenses and Transitions, anti-reflection coatings are also often applied to the rear surface of sun lenses.
-
Do your sunglasses provide UV protection?
All of our sunglasses offer 100% UV protection.
-
How do I change my sunglasses lenses?
This depends on the manufacturer to a degree. With the growth of lens interchange systems, each brand works slightly differently. As such, we suggest checking the instructions that should have been in the sunglasses packaging. Alternatively, please contact us, and we can talk you through the process for your specific sunglasses.
-
Why don’t you offer bifocals?
Because it is the 21st century! In all seriousness, we simply think that single vision and varifocals are better options, and a lot of the manufacturers we deal with do not offer bifocal options either. That being said, we do offer a very specific bifocal Reader lens in our prescription ski goggles. This is because ski goggles do not work effectively with varifocal lenses. Equally, if you would prefer a bifocal lens, please contact us, and we will do our utmost to help out.
-
I’ve never worn varifocals before. Are they right for me?
Varifocal lenses can take a bit of adjustment in some cases. We recommend that you get used to varifocal lenses in everyday glasses before trying varifocal wraparound sunglasses. This is because wrapped lenses can take a short period of adaptation in a very small proportion of people. As such, if there is any issue it is hard to isolate the root cause.
-
What is “OTG”?
Simply, OTG (Over The Glasses) goggles are designed to fit over the top of your everyday glasses. They tend to have cutaways in the foam or frame moulding which to avoid undue temple pressure.
-
What is the difference between cylindrical and spherical goggles?
Cylindrical goggles curve horizontally, whilst remaining flat vertically. Spherical goggles, on the other hand, curve on both axes. Cylindrical lenses have traditionally been a cheaper option, but they are currently in fashion. From a technical perspective, the spherical lens is largely superior - offering better optics, more peripheral vision and less fogging.
-
Will all of your ski helmets fit my goggles?
All of the helmets we sell are designed to work with goggles. As many helmet brands also produce goggles, you will often find that the optimum fit can be found by integrating the two products.
-
Are your helmets certified?
Yes, all of our helmets surpass either the European EN 1077 or US ASTM 2040 standards.
-
Which size sunglasses do I need?
Most wraparound sunglasses will fit almost all head shapes and sizes. That being said, we offer sizings for all of the sunglasses we offer. Personal choice and preference over the look and how they feel in the flesh will always be key. As such, we offer a 28 day free returns service - as well as free UK delivery!
-
My lenses are dirty. How should I clean them?
We recommend using the cloth or microfibre bag that accompanied your glasses. If they are particularly dirty, you can use warm water, or optical cleaning sprays/solutions. Do not use any solvents!
