No more piste map perils! Go for our reader lenses for snow goggles
As a new option among our excellent prescription lens packages for ski goggles, RxSport now offer special Reader lenses! Set up…
Well after the huge success of OTD Edge, Oakley have decided to up their game and improve their technology even further! OTD II has been designed to increase the field of view when looking thorough a sports wrapped pair of prescription sunglasses. OTD II also means the power across the lens is more consistent and easier to adjust to!
The below diagram shows the amount of distortion in a plus power prescription lens – you can see that with OTD II the angles of view have been increased, therefore peripheral distortion is reduced and vision is improved.
This above diagram is showing the same information as above but for minus power prescriptions.
Oakley have increased their prescription limits throughout their range, so now people with stronger prescriptions can chose from the entire lens tint selection that Oakley offer – before OTD II came around, only a handful of lens tints were available for higher prescriptions.
Another awesome improvement from the previous OTD Edge technology is that Oakley no longer have to frost the edge of their lenses – which has improved the appearance, they now look much neater!
The prescription range can go from a +4.00 down to a -6.00, if you fancy a pair of prescription Oakley sunglasses then click on the link below to browse the range!
