In a pool full of brand giants, Signal operates on a slightly smaller scale. They pride themselves as ‘artistic’ snowboard manufacturers, focusing on awesome looking boards but also the product quality is second to none.

One thing that Signal does a little differently from everybody else is their ‘Every Third Thursday’ programme. As the name suggests, every third Thursday of the month, Signal snowboards create and build a snowboard with new concepts and materials. We’ve gone ahead and picked our top five (in no particular order) for your viewing pleasure!

The Ultimate Programmable Smart Snowboard

The team build sensors into the snowboard and create a software that plays music based on the boards motion! Go over a kicker and the bass drops out…land and the bass kicks back in!

I Love Boobies Snowboard

In collaboration with the Keep-A-Breast charity, this board was built to raise awareness of breast cancer. Not only did they make the awesome bra board with lacy lingerie they also made a custom boob cast of Signal’s graphics leader Meg Smith!

Night Rider Floodlight Snowboard

A snowboard with headlights?! The team mounts LED flash lights and lamps to build a glow in the dark board!

SCUBA Underwater Snowboard

The Crew attempts to make a board by using the naturally occurring pressure of the deep ocean instead of the trusty pneumatic press! The Signal guys travel to New Zealand’s Milford Sound, assemble the layers of the board, sink it to 30 meters and leave it over night.

Recycled Christmas Tree Snowboard

Have you ever wondered where your Christmas tree goes after it has been embellished with baubles and has finished guarding the presents? We like to think the Guys at Signal take them under their wings…AND turn them into awesome wood core snowboards!
